Nightmare
Why stop at 12? The leagues below the top flight should be 16 teams at a minimum (the Premiership should be as well but that’s never going to happen as long as the bigot brothers are part of Scottish football). 10 or 12 team leagues are just so boring, primarily due to the lack of variety in opponent. People talk about these smaller leagues being “competitive”, but often that just leads to negative, turgid football. And when you add in the current dynamic of the Scottish setup where you can now feasibly meet a team from the same division as you 10 times in a season, the whole setup is just so unappealing.

Good idea. Three up one down?

They are guest teams in the Lowland League, their participation is down to the other clubs allowing them to compete in their league. There has been a lot of noise recently about B teams especially those Rangers connected about the quality of football in the Lowland League not being good enough to test their players so hands are being wrung over how its not fair and why shouldn't they should be moved into the SPFL , so its no surprise that much of the SPFL reconstruction chat has been coming from that direction.

This is a decision that should be taken before the season commence. Not sure about the change in teams as only Morton and Inverness as Championship residents. The others seem to come and go. Yes Falkirk went but don't seem to be coming back anytime soon.

Are you expecting Brechin back in the C'ship in the near future then?
