A bit strange that there's been no mention of Dec Gallagher's injury on the Official site. It looked serious at the time and I would imagine a consultation with a specialist will be needed this week.

Waiting for the outcome of the scan?  Tanser wasn’t due his until today (Tuesday) - seemed an awful long time to have to wait. Although unbelievably rapid if he had been waiting for an NHS appointment.

The ball might not leave the centre circle.

Cant wait.

Then to be told its improvement for us and signs of progress that we've stopped losing home games.

Then lots of patronising comments from "true fans" about how everything will be more exciting once we're safe and dredging out points and clean sheets is all the matters until we're mathematically safe.

Saturday was a bit of a surprise considering the shocking performance at Motherwell a few days before; half the squad injured and a bench of untried teenagers. However we blew RC away and should have won that by considerably more goals. Injury list is still horrendous and getting worse with Dec and Tanser taken off on Sat but one or two others may come back into contention. on the bench if not starting. Hard game but surely we have to start winning Away sometime?

Tanser didn't play on Saturday? The only new injury was to Dec as far as I am aware? I definitely don't think we will see him on Sat so.............

Definitely missing; Ayunga, Greive, Tait, Gallagher, Tanser
Possibly missing; Baccus, Gogic

Yes certainly.  We should probably let you put up your own club’s signage around the ground while we’re at it…..

I'm sure that would be a cracking analogy if we had consciously let it happen rather than our tenants overstepping the terms of their short-term lease and our BOD telling them to get the signage to f**k down within 4 hours of it being up.

Has Davidson at any point given any explanation of Spoony's lack of involvement?  It's a strange one - he's surely a much better option than Carey.  I'd love to see us go 4-4-2 in this - at least have a go and try to entertain the home fans for a change.  We took a healthy crowd to Tannadice last week, it's time us fans had some payback.

In all seriousness, what happened here? It is the kind of f**k up that Saints would do going by our recent standards.

Don't believe a word they say, they okay'd it. Took the money and shat it at the backlash.

…and I know of no St Mirren fans who were happy with the way our old BoD handled that affair. Not the fact they hired them the stadium, the optics, the way they did it. Was pretty much the way they went about a lot of things at the end of their tenure. Bringing it up in a matchday thread years later like it is still raw and still touches a nerve is a bit of a minter. Trying to wind up folk who already know and admit it didn’t look great at all? That ship has sailed. Forget about that, just don’t mention the 2010 League Cup Final or the European ‘H’ game…. Raw then. Raw now. Raw forever. 😜

We were in Spain for a pre-season camp and let the stadium out to Celtic for 2 matches over the space of a four day period as Parkhead was being used for Commonwealth games.

We granted used of all facilities including the hospitality suite and club shop (which itself was a mess at the time, you couldn't even buy a Saints shirt from it and had to go to JD Sports for one) there was no agreement in place to allow for rebranding anywhere but Celtic took it upon themselves to do so.

I guess the fact that the club had let facilities out to the SFA, SJFA, Rangers and Morton in the past, it was an oversight not to include this as none of the prior tenants had taken it upon themselves to figuratively try and mark their territory. A pretty big and embarrassing oversight by the board of the time and Celtic obviously clearly went the route of 'well they didn't tell us NOT to do it...'

The photo was taken in the late morning of the first friendly and by mid-afternoon, the club had been made aware and contacted Celtic and the sign was removed (hence the fact there's only one photo and none of Celtic fans going in pre-match with a laughable Celtic sign over the Saints club shop)

Ah that old chestnut,  bringing it up ages after the event? Like Alan Main helping United? Like that aye?

Of course, you can bring anything up ages after any event. Our faux-pas (oooooh the banter), is however something we are on the same side as opposition fans on. It looked an utter minter. It’s not like we shafted creditors, were liquidated, died like a Norwegian Blue, but we still pretend it never really happened. 😎

To add to that though. It wasn't one of those 'shrug it off as a misunderstanding' type deals either.

It caused a lot of angst towards the board at the time and for a lot of St. Mirren supporters, was pretty much a summary of why they were tired of a BoD who had run out of ideas and were more and more outwardly looking like they didn't give a f**k anymore. Letting the facilities out when we weren't using them was one thing, smart even as we were not using them and in a time of lower cashflow but the oversight that led to them rebranding the club shop made us look really shoddy.

Much as I loathe the bigots, given all the circumstance I don't get the outrage at this. I take it the shop was selling Celtic stuff to Celtic fans attending Celtic games at a stadium you'd hired out to Celtic while you were all away. Adding a sign for a few days seems the least of the things to get irate about here.

The game Celtic played at our place was made available to their fans wordwide on their PPV platform, so from their perspective, they wanted it to look like a Celtic game with Celtic branding visible. Aside from the shop sign, they had Celtic logos on the tunnel and dugouts etc. I have no issue whatsoever with the branding, even the shop sign. All it would have taken was for St Mirren to have announced everything involved in advance, saying it was a nice earner and they were happy to offer our facilities in this way to a club who had given theirs up for a big event like the Commonwealth games. If it is true that no-one at St Mirren knew there would be Celtic branding going up everywhere - shop, tunnel, dugouts, then frankly, they should have conducted the negotiations better and should have known exactly what was and wasn’t happening. The fact it ended up as a PR disaster for them does not surprise me one iota.
