Lennon would surely be a disaster? In saying that he'd be better than Mulgrew id imagine.

Guess the issue is any manager with a decent CV wont want to be adding a relegation to it. Almost everyone will think Utd look like certs for that, while also thinking theres an issue with the squad to burn through 2 managers in a season. Add in a chairman whos pulled funding publicly and a weakened squad, and its hard to see it being appealing. 

So aye. Its either some rookie like Mulgrew, or a desperado like Lennon, Pressley, or Hughes.

Nah, Lennon's an absolute disaster of a guy but he seems a decent manager overall.

Did well with Celtic first time round, shat the bed at Bolton but they were a basket case at the time, did really well with Hibs and got them playing a good brand of football that they've arguably not done since until he fell out with Dempster and then failed to maintain Rodgers' momentum at Celtic.

Think he's a better manager than he gets credit for purely due to the fact that he's an absolute arsepiece of a guy.

As a short term gig, he's the exact rocket up the arse type United are perhaps needing.

First one expensive, second cheap. "Mutual's" are always music to a CEO.

More than Motherwell and significantly more than Celtic or Livi, but probably less than The Rangers.
