ICTChris
Not that I’m getting my hopes up or anything but - Has any team ever won a trophy in Scotland after having been eliminated but then reinstated due to an administrative error by their opponents or other off field issues? The only examples I can think of are in European football - Denmark didn’t qualify for Euro 92 and then won it as Yugoslavia were kicked out due to sanctions. Also, Rapid Vienna reached the 1985 Cup Winners Cup final after their defeat to Celtic was replayed following a Rapid player being injured by a Celtic fan.

I think this might be last example at top tier level: 1963-64 Summer Cup Hearts won Section 4 but were also entered into the International Soccer League so could not participate in the late May-earlyJune knockout stage SFL decided runner-up in group would advance Dunfermline and Hibs finished in a dead heat for runner-up Hibs 3-1 Dunfermline in playoff at Tynecastle Hibs 6-4 Kilmarnock on aggregate in SF Final delayed to August due to typhoid epidemic in Aberdeen Hibs 4-4 Aberdeen on aggregate in Final Aberdeen 1-3 Hibs in playoff at Pittodrie in autumn 1964
Eednud
Scottish Cup 1892/93. Queen’s Park not quite knocked out on way to the final. Final[edit] 25 February 1893 Celtic 1 – 0 Queen's Park Towie Ibrox Park, Govan Attendance: 30,000[1] Referee: R. F. Harrison Match declared void due to frozen pitch (decided pre-match after inspection, but not announced to spectators until the second half).[2][3] Final replay[edit] 11 March 1893 Queen's Park 2 – 1 Celtic Sellar Blessington Ibrox Park, Govan Attendance: 15,000[4][5] Referee: R. F. Harrison The winning goal was believed by some observers not to have fully entered the goal before being cleared, and Celtic protested but the score stood. Although their use would not have resolved that particular incident, this controversy and debate led to goal nets being introduced in the latter stages of the Scottish Cup from then on.[6][7]

Losing to a team that shouldn't even have been in the final, (which I witnessed).
microdave
Rangers played Sporting Lisbon in the CWC in 1971/72 and won the tie on away goals but the referee wasn't aware of that and went to a penalty shoot out which Sporting won. It was only after the teams had left the pitch that he was made aware of his error. Rangers went on to win the tournament.
Marten
The Dutch Cup in 1969/70 had an odd structure, that they used for a few years. In those years, no teams below the 3rd tier (lowest professional tier back then) were taking part. That means all 53 pro clubs took part. Only the defending champions (Feyenoord that season) had a first round bye, so 52 clubs played round 1, the 26 winners + Feyenoord played round 2, in which one club got a bye to make it 14 teams for round 3 and 7 teams for the QF. To get 8 teams in the QF, one of the 3rd round losers were drawn out at random and went to the QF as lucky losers. Ajax lost 2-1 against AZ but were the lucky losers who got into the QF and they went on to win it. This resulted in the format being revised for the next season, so there were no more lucky losers from 1970/71.
