Up against a team in horrible form and we just decided not to take part in the game, didn’t attempt to win it then not surprisingly lost. Thats not an option here. Win this and we separate ourselves from the bottom spots by a wide margin. Lose and we’re right in amongst it. The only option is to go out and try to win it. Matthews Brown Mitchell Considine Montgomery Wright Phillips MacPherson Wotherspoon May Clark Our defence hasn't got any better since your last visit to FP, you don't need to try to win the game - defend solidly enough yourselves and we'll hand the extra two points to you on a platter.

ropy
Is this game still on, we couldn’t fill our bench on Saturday and we have let two of that squad go.

We can probably fill the bench now with the 4 signings (there's still one more to announce apparently) at the end of the transfer window.
PauloPerth
Looking forward to seeing how our new formation does in a more winnable fixture. Certainly been better defensively and in keeping possession, but arguably not created many chances. Both were against rangers, so tonight will be a better gauge. Big game. Win and we give ourselves a massive push away from the relegation places, but lose and we’re in it big time, especially with Celtic up next. A defeat would also give Motherwell a massive boost with their new players getting off to a winning start, which we really want to avoid. With county now looking like they’re not going to be the bottom feeders we all hoped, this one along with killie v Utd are two huge games in the bottom 6 tonight.
Cloontang
Looking forward to the game now. Rocking up to St Mirren Park on Saturday was a kick in the tadger for many, to find out two of our new additions weren't available and the other was on the bench you couldn't help but feel scunnered as we reverted back to the same old stuff and again lost due to a laughable goal conceded. We have a great opportunity to bring the Saints back into the mix as they're only four point in front and lost seven on the bounce but throughout January these wee scenarios kept presenting themselves and we blew it each and every time. It would be refreshing to get the three points tonight and actually take advantage for once. The signings seem fairly positive, It'll be interesting to see how we lineup tonight, I'm all for introducing many of the new guys.

Jamie_Beatson
What the absolute f**k? Two and a half games in the new formation and it looked to be doing something for us. And now an important game and we go back to the thing that absolutely did not work. FFS.

Probably get told "teams like St Johnstone" can't play a back four and two up front, and he wanted the 2 up top so had to go to a back 5. Id kind of gotten positive over the past week as i thought we'd had a sliding doors moment and Davidson had realised the benefits of 4-4-2 with this squad. That hopes completely vanished again.
