Everything is very shady about the guy who runs the club. He was shady at Pennies, shady at Syngenta and it would be a real shame if Camelon let him have any involvement with them.

What do you mean by shady? Guy has a couple of successful buisnesses and wants to help his local football team.

Investing money. Where camelon is different from syngenta is they have their own ground and infrastructure. Syngenta didn't have that

So is this the committee confirming its happening.

What is there to actually show from this investment?
Syngenta look like going out the league
Syngenta U20s offski
League set up corrupted
Anything positive? Anything long term?

Rumours are he has an idea to sell Camelon's ground and build new at Stirling Road!

Potential issues with selling the ground as council owned and the allocation of the selling value wont nessesarily go to a new ground as its housing allocated money.

I dont see this being valid

You'd also need a new car park as there is no way the existing one would be able to cope with the golf club traffic and football traffic and no way the council is allowing something being built there that would see people parking on the road - the roadworks the last month or so show why that would be a big no no.

Then you'd have to throw in that the ground at Stirling Road is probably the only place in Camelon that's actually wetter than the canal side of the pitch at Carmuirs.

Plus I suspect the far bigger issue would be actually getting the planning approved as I cant see the residents of Centurion Way being too happy about a football stadium (and floodlights) being slung up over the road from them, assuming it would be an all weather cage so in use most nights.

Committee would have some explaining to do if the club are moving, hopefully @alan862 can confirm its just a rumour.

Is it purely a case of a youth/amateur club thinking the jump into adult, bigger League football is fairly straightforward ? Or is it just the lack of ground, as I would have thought they'd have enough volunteers to help - or as seen around Bristol, tons of help when kids are playing - but lack of interest when kids grow up. A shame to see clubs fold, obviously I don't know the whole story with the owner etc.
