🔵 🔴 Inverness CT v The Gl£$ga Gr€tna 🕷🕷

Recommended Posts

Has a club ever been turfed out of the cup at this stage for something like this?  Only other isntances seem to have happened in early rounds.

The banter result of this is that Caley now go on a cup run, perhaps adding to the hilarity by getting through a couple of rounds on penalties after a 0-0 draw, thus getting to Hampden without winning a game or scoring a goal.

They won't "lose it 3-0".

Noted, Point still stands though

If QP loose this and get beaten tonight has any club ever lost 2 competitive games in one day before in different competitions?

Last time somebody got expelled in R4 was 2010-11 when East Stirlingshire fielded an unregistered player v Buckie. They maintained paperwork was "in the post". Expelled regardless.

Last time somebody broke the time bar was Elgin in R3 in 2008-09. That was before the automatic expulsion rule - and since Spartans also fielded an unregistered player a replay was ordered (nowdays they'd both go out = Livingston bye).

Last time somebody broke the time bar and were expelled was Brechin v Hamilton in R4 in 2007-08.

They won't "lose it 3-0". You're confusing it with the League Cup where a result is issued for the purposes of group tables. Queen's Park won the game, that won't be changed. They'll just be expelled from the competition and replaced with Inverness.

Would the result still technically stand then, and the goals remain on the scorers' records?

One of the main reasons I'm so furious about this whole situation is that Williamson managed to get one and he was over the moon; if it's not totally expunged that'd soften the blow slightly (by about maybe 1%).

I think so. Not certain.

It certainly won't be "awarded 3-0" though.

Did they also park the team bus on double yellow lines?

EDIT: in the 2018-19 Alex Jack Cup - for EOS clubs not in Scottish Cup: winners can qualify into Scottish Cup - both Bo'ness Utd and Haddington did in SF.

Camelon won cup by default, no Final.

ICT is not in any position to petition the SFA as they are not involved in the rule breaking.

I think that your solution above is clutching at straws, if it had been ICT that won the game and then found to have broken the rules, I'm sure you would have been adamant in your condemnation.

We are all aware that rules are open to interpretation but in this case they are black and white.

Your problem is the clear precedent with Banks O Dee this season.

Imagine the unfairness if after a draw a Manager was allowed to strengthen his weaknesses in a replay by bringing in players, that is the rule interpretation.

Now there is no doubt that you won the game easily and you have my sympathy but your admin let you down.

Somebody complained.

Doesn’t that mean it’s a notice of complaint served against Queens Park? For example, the SFA served a notice of complaint against Robbie Neilson.
