Jamie_Beatson
The battle of the extremely contented fanbases. Don’t see a thread 5.5 hours before kick off so obviously excitement is huge. I have a horrible feeling Crawford will make an appearance again today. For me we need to get McGowan back into the midfield if Considine is available again at the back.

betting competition
Two legends with Shinnie and Considine coming home. So disappointed when Considine left as he still had much to give and our defence since show it was the wrong decision by Goodwin. Good to see Shinnie back at club which will hopefully give us a lift we so badly need. St Johnstone games are difficult to predict as not a team we have a great record at home (2 wins in 7). Imagine that.
Irrational Behaviour
Team will be the following, I would have thought: Roos McCrorie Stewart Scales Coulson Ramadani Shinnie Kennedy Clarkson Duk Miovski

naegoodinthedark
I’m not going to this, and that’s the only positive thing I can think about right now. Much respect to everyone who is though.
RandomGuy.
Matthews Wright - McGowan - Gordon - Considine - Brown MacPherson - Hallberg - Wotherspoon Clark - May Is what im expecting. Another midfield deck shuffle and hoping something sticks rather than trying to resolve the underlying issues. SJFCtheTeamForMe
Another awful example of an online ticket system for this game. Was it Saints or Aberdeen's idea to do it this way? Online ticket sales with no e ticket that need collected in person after bought online. They could have been posted out but concerns with postal strikes caused that. No ability to buy tickets after 4 o'clock yesterday. As there's no match day sales or patg. Why are clubs making it so difficult. Is it on purpose? It wasn't clear if he was struck down with 'the bug' last week or if he's back at Celtic already? Thought (with no knowledge) that Hallberg would be out for a few weeks, given it was one of those non-contact hamstring pulls. If he's available I'd expect to see Montgomery at LWB, possibly Phillips for Hallberg and Carey instead of Spoony (because Callum).
Jamie_Beatson
Montgomery had a hamstring issue last week and is away back to Celtic, so unless something has been sorted but not announced he’s not available today. Which is a shambles given it seems Booth isnt fit yet and Gallagher is out of the picture for some bizarre reason. So it’ll be Brown LWB again. Which means no width on the left. Which means it’s easy to defend against us all over. Which means we’re unlikely to score. Edited January 7 by Jamie_Beatson

No idea this was the case with Montgomery, what's happening with Gallacher or how long Hallberg is out for. Real blow being stuck for another spell of a system that requires wingbacks playing with only one. Agree with others about wanting McGowan back in to midfield but if MacPherson comes in alongside Phillips behind either Wotherspoon/Carey that's still more preferable to Crawford or Murphy playing. Need to get back to having May and Clark closer together and three midfielders that contribute when we don't have the ball.

John Bonham
Get May and Clark back playing more closely together as a proper front two again and we might give ourselves a chance!
