Frank McGarvey RIP

Recommended Posts

Sorry to hear this news. Saw Frank turning in some fantastic performances for the Saints, Celtic and Clyde. He was still different class when he joined Clyde and took them to a League title in 1993. Also seemed a real decent, genuine guy. Thoughts with his family and friends.

He was fantastic in his spell with us before he left for Liverpool. He did a turn for us when he came back in the mid eighties too.

Sad news.

Sad to hear this, one of my favourite Saints players - only really saw him play for us when he came back in the 80's, his goal against Hearts in the Cup semi a real highlight.

RIP Frank and thanks for the memories.

His debut as a Liverpool “player” just after he had left St Mirren in 1979.

His goals against Slavia Prague in Europe capped a brilliant night at Love St:

RIP Frank

The most natural goal scorer I’ve ever seen consistently in a Saints jersey.

St Mirren would not have got to the final or won the ‘87 Scottish cup without his experience.
