Spaces being added to posts

For some reason the site seems to be adding extra spaces (as if I'm pressing the 'return' key) to my posts. Thought it might be my phone but it doesn't happen on any other sites or apps.

 

This often results in long areas of blanks in posts. If I try to edit them, the site slows up and ultimately 'jams' up, rendering it unusable, so I need to close the window and relaunch it.

 

I'm om android using the mobile site, via Opera browser (as blocker enabled).

 

Any idea what is causing this and how to sort it? Have cleared my cookies and signed out of my account and back in, but no joy. I'm having to write posts on my notes app then paste them, although if I'm not quick enough spaces will be added (see some of my recent posts, such as the one in the Pele thread).

Yeah it's some sort of issue with Android, and specifically seems to be Android running on Samsung mobiles.

Assume will be cured by some subsequent patch but until then we're stuck. I believe it doesn't happen if you use Chrome on your Android device but not 100% sure.

it's an Android problem, I have been having issues for ages.

@Div has looked into it but I don't think there's much he can do.

Someone had the audacity to question my sentence construction ( @101). It's worse on my phone.

I'm using chrome on an android Samsung without any issues

Doesn't bother me...not really...hardly at all... I'd virtually forgotten about it...

I’ve got the same double line when hitting return on an iPhone using safari.
