Is Mark McNulty the low point of the national team?

Obviously been plenty of diddies the years, and there are probably worse players who’ve been capped… but he was a journeyman in the English lower leagues who was in a tiny purple patch (four in four or something equally mundane) in the Scottish Premiership, so in he went. If he’d scored the same goals for whatever diddy English team had loaned him to Hibs nobody would’ve batted an eyelid.

Yeah he shades it over Craig Samson for me. Special mention to any St.Johnstone being called up too obvs.

He's definitely the worst striker to play for us in recent memory.

I'd of definitely have had McNulty over Oli Burke. It's like looking into a toilet bowl comparing which of the 2 poos is the better one but for me, Burke is a rotten footballer.

McNulty is several levels of shite below Burke IMO! As poor as he is, Burke has scored a couple of goals in the Bundesliga this season.

Aye, Burke scored the winner at Dortmund this season. McNulty is playing in some American pub league.

Not sure why any feathers are ruffled by the absence of Greg Taylor. He might be a very good player but he's arguably our 5th best left back after Robertson, Tierney, Hickey, and Doig. Appreciate these players could be played in other positions, but still.

The talent we have isn't balanced evenly across the pitch. Christ, we could swap out three left backs for equivalent quality players in goal, centre half and centre forward and probably improve quite significantly.

Not sure whose feathers are ruffled ? He’s only got 10 caps in 4 years and due to the players you mentioned above, who are all playing at a much higher level regularly testing themselves against good teams he won’t be missed.

It’s telling he’ll play through the pain barrier for Celtic and not Scotland and that’s fair enough - we don’t need him, he doesn’t need us - don’t pick him again.

Our clubs have run out of money by the time they get to left back,  why we've produced a few

A few folk were expressing surprise that Taylor wasn't involved when some other players (that play in other positions) were. He's only going to be involved from now on when multiple left backs are injured.

Is patterson still injured? Thought he’d been on bench recently but might have misremembered. If he can’t make it, who would be called up to replace?

He was in the matchday squad last week but didn't make the bench. Not sure what if it's selection or injury today. Ralston would be the safe bet to replace him if Clarke chooses to.
