Rovers v Morton

Recommended Posts

Things see bad at the moment but a win here and we are only 3 points off the playoffs. It really depends if Murray can figure out a formation that actually makes best use out of our players. To quote Mike Bassett "England Raith Rovers will be playing four four f*cking two"

IM won’t play a formation without Brown at either RB or DM…so 4-1-3-2 is likely as close as 4-4-2 as we’d get while Millen is healthy…and he’s a pretty important part of our attack right now. With that thought, our “strongest” version of that formation is…???

MacDonald (Debate point, is McNeil ahead of Thomson now when Thomson comes back?)

Millen/Nolan/O’Riordan/Ngwenya (Debate points, Lang or Dick vs Nolan and Dick vs Ngwenya)

Brown (Debate point, is always playing a DM a good decision, or playing into opponents hands?)

Connolly/Stanton/Spencer (Debate points, Easton vs Stanton and Ross vs Spencer or Stanton as a sub for attacking)

Gullan/Vaughan (Debate points, Connelly vs Gullan or Vaughan, Where do Coulson, Frederiksen, Mahady and McBride fit in?)

Really not looking forward to this whatsoever. A win under the lights with fans who have hopefully had a few pints and are bit more boisterous would be ideal and could get our season going and cheer everyone up at a time when it’s much needed. A meek, insipid draw or defeat and folk’s backs will really be up and Murray will be under undoubted pressure. Fingers crossed.

An adults birthday party is preventing my attendance at this one. Still the birthday theme I suppose.

I’ll just have to hang fire until Accies away.

We could really do with 3 points soon. 2 points from 5 games is a worry.

Maybe time for Stanton to get back on the scoresheet.
