This should give you gist of it; John McBeth put his head above the FIFA parapet and was basically hung out to dry, but the passage of time seems to have vindicated his remarks, and then some. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2007/may/29/newsstory.sport13

kennie makevin
I'll enjoy the novelty of watching a football competition where we don't know who's going to win it before it starts.

10menwent2mow
I'm off to Fraserburgh v Buckie tomorrow. Although the way the weather has been in the North East for the past few days I'll be amazed if it's on/I can be arsed going and being freezing.

Might take the wife out one Saturday. Saw the first half of the Bannockburn game (2 down when I left at halftime but won 5-2 in some cup competition) then went to the Albion to see a fine 3-1 victory, the last goal being an excellent counter. There were 100 yards between these games. I suppose I need to take the wife out next week.
kingjoey
Ended up going to Cove v Morton today while my wife went round the Aberdeen shops. Given the really strong wind it was a decent game although Cove deserved a point. My first time at Cove and by golly it's a weird ground. Different from any ground I've been to so I like it.
Ranaldo Bairn
Scooted up the A9 at 0700 after dropping my son off at work, to see my daughter compete in the rowing on the canal in Inverness. Drove back down again at about 2pm, so the only connection to football here is me shouting "fucking HELL" at my radio as they announced Clyde knocking in the goals against us. Did consider dropping in at the Tulloch to see the ICT/AU game but 240 miles is expensive enough.
Nervousjobby
Went to Pollok v Peasy. Glasgow derby of a different kind seeing as Celtic park is off limits for a few weeks. Thoroughly enjoyable and a good win for The Lok. ps - Good to see Christian Nade upfront for Peasy still going strong

The wife got a meal at the Citizen in Glasgow last week, back to Bannockburn winning 2-0 in the Scottish Amateur Cup this week, got a birthday party next Saturday then it’s back to the real stuff.
