Motherwell v Celtic

We've not been privvy to all the angles.
Its done by computer using pixel close ups from (min) 6 angles.

Its very tiresome. Celtic, despite having every advantage going, owned by a billionaire, a PLC, 9 out of 10 titles a quadruple treble, still bringing out the opressed, downtrodden, conspiracy card. Fans absolutely lap it up as well.

They also won 2-1. Like they beat Hearts 4-3 the other week and wouldn’t shut the f**k up about how the whole system is against them because they didn’t get 1 decision.

We should be privy to all the angles, that is the very basic expectation that supporters should have if they are going to impose this dreadful system on us.

Can you imagine the shite we’d take on here if we just waited til we lost before pointing out the glaring inconsistencies in the performance of the refs and the var refs?

Getting it wrong twice is a double down, trying to keep the score down like Miovski's a few weeks ago at the same venue.

I think the general consensus, King William, is that it was actually offside and therefore the correct decision.

This is a result of us having very basic VAR equipment when it's not on the telly.

From what the SFA were saying, the same might well have happened if it had been on TV.

While Sky have goal-line cameras that can be used for offsides, the field of view wouldn’t have been big enough, because Jota was only just over the half-way line.

So if the “correct” 18-yard line camera was still being used for close-ups off the pitch, they’s no guarantee things would have been any better.

Celtic are not even complaining that it was ruled offside, just why wasn’t shown from a better angle

VAR isn’t cheap, hardly an unreasonable request and I suspect if it involved other teams this “paranoid” nonsense wouldn’t even be a thought

There would have been many more cameras at the game if it was on telly. So I reckon the angles would have been better in general even if the camera was trying to get shots of Ange Postecoglou.

Have u ever heard such a bunch of moaning cnuts in your whole life.

Jesus H Christ. Celtic won the game it is not as if they lost or it was a draw.

I am so fed up of the compliant media and radio programmes that pander to their inferiority complex.

Absolutely nothing about the Celtic player that was off the pitch and headed the ball to Turnbull from our throw in and who set up the 2nd goal. At 1-0 down. Nah does not suit the media agenda.

God knows if that had happened to the victims we would hear about it for the next two centuries.

It wasn’t headed to Turnbull, Haksabanovic had zero clue the ball was being thrown at him and he made zero attempt to play the ball so it was deflected off him, it’s a subtle but important detail however it’s not something VAR would look at, they would only look at it from the moment Turnbull picks up the ball not how it arrived at him hence why the media haven’t mentioned it.

And by griping about it the way you are makes you a bit of a moaning c**t too

It’s not about the system being against us as few people are actually complaining about the offside decision itself it’s about paying £200k a season that has shown so far that it can take too long and those operating it are making too many errors and refs seem to want to abdicate responsibility for decision making to it.

Its shit, get it in the fucking bin as we are no better off with it than without it

It very much is about that.
Noone is being fooled by veiled arguments about the technical context.
Every season, all season, all we hear about is conspiracies, 'honest mistakes', referee bias etc.

Didn't realise the throw in header lead to their second goal, so they're all in fits of tears because a goal was correctly ruled offside in the same match they got a goal as dodgy as the come, some club paranoid and entitled doesn't even begin to cover it.

Who could possibly have foreseen this happening.

Just as who could have foreseen that Celtic would be the first team to have a hissy fit over it.

Celtic fans crying about VAR being "against them" is right up there in surprise terms with the discoveries of bears defecating in woodland areas. They simply can't function without believing whatever trophies they win in a two (or more recently one) horse race are somehow done so against the odds/establishment. Utterly pathetic stuff and a shining example of why the rest of us look down on old firm fans.

It's about pressurising officials so that they think twice about giving a decision against celtic.

Let’s be honest here, the criticism of VAR is entirely fair and warranted and the footage provided to fans that highlighted Jota’s offside isn’t really acceptable, is it.

The only issue I’ve got is the leaking of the letter being written to the SFA (or SPFL) to put pressure on officials after they’d already had it explained to them the decision was correct.
