Motherwell v Celtic

Recommended Posts

At Motherwell’s goal Celtic immediately lined up for the retake, you could almost see them saying we still have time for two more goals but they were held back while VAR searched for a non incident.  I know that’s how the system works but it just seemed to be another unnecessary delay breaking up the flow of the game.

Jota is onside when the ball is played, inexplicable that the offside decision stood after VAR 🤨

The Motherwell players throw in is clearly intercepted, albeit unintentionally by Haksabanovic, strange that it wasn't pulled back.

I call decisions as I see them and I am of the opinion we were harshly dealt with on one occasion and fortunate on the other one.

Regardless of all of the above Willie Column is a fucking dreadful referee and an absolute weapon of a guy, a teacher by day, I'd imagine one of those who when he asks the class to settle down he is pelted with scrunched up balls of paper, pens etc, mocked, ridiculed and called a p***k by groups of rowdy school kids.

There is absolutely no way that anyone can definitively see if he is on or off so the original decision of offside has to stand.

Then what is the point of having VAR if you cannot definitively tell what is and isn’t onside?

There was a way but the VAR ref was a f**k nugget and used the wrong angle/camera.

This is a result of us having very basic VAR equipment when it's not on the telly.

We've not been privvy to all the angles.
Its done by computer using pixel close ups from (min) 6 angles.

Its very tiresome. Celtic, despite having every advantage going, owned by a billionaire, a PLC, 9 out of 10 titles a quadruple treble, still bringing out the opressed, downtrodden, conspiracy card. Fans absolutely lap it up as well.

If I was taking the throw I’d have simply thrown it over the opponents head and to my own team mate.
