Crisis ridden Glasgow Rangers vs Robbie Nielson’s resurgent Heart of Midlothian

How bad were Aberdeen that we made this bunch of chancers look world beating?

Hearts deserve credit. They've played very well up to now and look so much more solid than both ourselves and Hibs. This is the formation and approach we should have adopted at Ibrox.

Regarding Aberdeen, hopefully the 3 at the back formation is dropped for the foreseeable future. We were badly exposed against The Rangers and Hibs. Last night was another prime example of how vulnerable we are at the back.

I can't see Gio Van Bronckhorst lasting much longer.

Drab match turned in our favour when Kent decided to turn it on - he was excellent that second half.

How in the name of f**k did the ref fail to book Sibbick. A ridiculous decision.

Also seemed like Gordon either hit a ball boy in the face with the ball or pretended to. Be surprised if he isn’t served a notice of complaint if he actually hit him.

Remembrance Day isn’t about glory and honour

Remembrance day isn't about big OTT tacky displays either.

What happened to subtle, understated, classy, remembrance? Not 'Let's see who can do it the biggest and flashiest.'.

It appears to be a reference to this

Big Lanky Gordon is a bit weird.

Of course it does

Still, when you think of the Somme the words glory and honour shouldn’t be coming into your head

WW1 was absolutely horrific and shouldn’t be romanticised

Frustrating. Rangers were getting chances but I didn't feel we were under massive pressure before they scored and we could probably have nicked a 0-0 on another day. Ultimately we were second best and didn't threaten enough going forward aside from the odd flurry of corners. If he'd been fit this would definitely have been more of a Humphrys game than a Shankland one.

On the positive side, Kye Rowles was excellent aside from one slip late on, so calm and reads the game brilliantly. I see he had 8 interceptions tonight which doesn't surprise me - the one which led to the Ginnelly chance early on was superb. Sibbick is also starting to look like the player we thought we were getting when we re-signed him.

Thankfully we couldn't really have picked better results in the other games this round and we're in touching distance of third having played the OF 4 times and 6 of the other 10 games away from home. A win on Saturday would put us in a great position.

Just seemed like he lost the head after the ball boy took an age to return the ball to him. Not sure if he actually hit him with the ball or not.

See wee Robbie is delighted with the no shots on target (again) against the big cousins.

FFS beaten 2-0 at home by Ross County and you still have the brass neck to show up on this thread and try to take the piss.

Beaton is a fucking weapon. Have VAR all you want, but if a ref is intent on giving Rangers every 50/50, booking Hearts players for Rangers players diving, giving free kicks for f**k all in dangerous areas and ignoring blatantly obvious fouls it's still going to be the same old shite when travelling to Glasgow.

On the game itself we had a game plan and although it was a bit dull it was working OK. Rangers never looked that threatening all that much until they actually scored. Couple of chances but one was a sitter and one a decent save, that aside not much and it's not often we get beyond an hour at Ibrox and that's all they've had.

On the other side of the ball though we were so wasteful in possession. We had no shots, but we did create a few good openings without actually looking like taking advantage of it. Quite a few times we got in behind and the final ball let us down. The chance that squeaked past Halliday was about as good as you'll get, good interception to take it off his toes but I still think he should be anticipating it better.

Overall, we weren't dangerous enough to really deserve anything but I thought we looked much better defensively with Rowles back.  Disappointed not to take anything as I thought Rangers looked nervy but we couldn't capitalise on it.
