Scottish plain bread....toasted under a gas grill. Beans, heat them as you like, or indeed cold.

Of course I spread Lurpak on the toast before the beans, ffs - I also usually chuck a Dairylea cheese slice on top before it goes in the microwave.

This thread would not be fully complete without some passing reference to what bean lovers pass. I know the start of a poem on the subject:

"Beanz, Beanz, a fearsome fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot"  I don't remember the rest (a senior moment?) although my daughter does. Anyone care to enlighten me with the full complete version..
