vikingTON
A clash between the top 2 teams in the league and, barring a freak result elsewhere, one of these teams will be sitting top of the Cinch Championship table on Bonfire Night. A three goal away win will see the destination of the title shift to the Clyde Riviera - if the Sir Douglas/Sir Efe Dream Team combination can follow up last night's formidable display. Popular Post Superhursy7
I think both sets of fans need to give credit where credit is due thank you, Mr David Hopkin, for placing the building blocks for both clubs to have success without his outstanding work at both clubs who knows where we may be today. diegomarahenry
In this league, two good results in a row means a scudding in the third, so f**k knows who is going to win this one.
shizzlemanizzle
*cough* might not be not be top 2. Sorry to pish all over your post virginton but Queens Park play on Friday night. Playing a rejuvenated Cove Rangers though. Worth pointing out that unless Queens win 11-0, Ayr will still be top. Morton? Not so much. Please change the title to “Possible top of the table showdown Ayr v Greenock Morton”. Just far accuracy. Cheers virginton.

It's the meeting of the top 2 clubs in the division after Match Day 13 of the Cinch Championship haa been completed - and the only two teams who can plausibly be top of the table after Match Day 14 is done too. The efforts of Queens' Park in their shitey, rent a ground setup will be treated with the same contempt by this thread as their previous 150 years in Scottish football have warranted.

edinburghhonestman
Fascinating game. Clearly the two most improved teams in the division after the managers had a pre-season to bring in some new talent and get their sides working the way they want. There are some similarities in that both managers want their team to outwork the opposition but after that the respective strengths kick in and we're the top scorers and Morton have the best defence. Both owe a lot to collective work rate. Who knows how this one will go? Looking forward to it.

D'Jaffo
Great advert for David Hopkin in that just a mere season or two after sacking him off, both his former clubs find themselves in the top two.
UpInTheAyr
Seems almost greedy to want a win out of this after two wins on the trot, or just expecting the bubble to burst because that's just what we're used to. Would say the first game was our toughest and most challenging so far and I don't expect anything different this time. The midfield battle is going to be crucial.
