Another The Other Chairman Posted October 30, 2022 Share Posted October 30, 2022 Great to get a home win and keep on the coat tails of the top two. The plus sides were firstly that we competed well against some brutal treatment after how we were bullied at home by Bonnyrigg. Secondly, during the five minutes we played some decent football we got the winner. Apart from that our tactic seemed to be to bore Elgin to death. Whenever Elgin decided to chase our defence a bit the sphincter muscles tightened. Our central defence has been getting steadier by the game but yesterday struggled so badly against one up front. If it is a good few it’s no great secret in that the manner in which Elgin’s tackles were going in was nothing short of brutal at times and yesterday could and possibly should have seen you guys down to 8 players at one point. Before it’s pointed out by someone, yes we could well have seen our goalkeeper sent off too. It wasn't a good performance. Defence was very poor in terms of not adjusting to stop Hester.
