St Johnstone vs Kilmarnock - Saturday 29th October 2022 (Return of the Meh)

If Gallacher and Montgomery aren't ready to play then say so. If they're only fit for half an hour, say so. At least then you could make some sense of it. There's no reason of ability or form to play Brown there ahead of either of those two players.

James Brown again. Mental.

You'll never have a good season if James Brown needs to start every week.

Montgomery has now received the "Davidson's lost trust" I think.

I don't expect he'll start much now between January when inevitably he'll return to Celtic.

There's similarities between Brown and Booth as well in terms of "decent" but arguably not good enough for this level? Gallagher - jury still out also but barely played.

Also, does Callum actively want Spoony to miss out on the World Cup? He legitimately looked like an immediate improvement on most of our players when he came on last week.

I’m starting to think that Callum Davidson is not just an incompetent manager, but also a manifestation of evil.

Q: What do you get if you play a soft winger, an attacking midfielder and a centre back in a midfield 3 ahead of 3 very defensive centre backs who aren't good on the ball, at home against one of the worst teams in the league?

Carey isn't to blame for our lack of posession. McGowan & Wright on the other hand has given it away countless times.

Not only was that complete pish, but theyve managed to sneak ahead.

It's weird when the setup seems to be built around width producing balls in the box that when we get set pieces, we so often waste it by fannying about passing, going backwards, and ultimately wasting it.

Jordan Jones is a man down today.

Your midfield is responsible for winning the ball back, keeping the ball ticking over and always being available for it. That isn’t Carey’s game which is why he’s spent most of his career (successfully) playing further forward.

Do you really think the problem is just players giving the ball away and not the fact that when they get the ball their passing options are so limited that they are likely to do this 7 times out of 10?
