We're a funny team this year, with plenty of (fair) complaints about some of the performances, yet we're keeping results up enough to stay a credible play-off challenger, which most of us would be pleased with. Basically which ever support swears at him first are going to be in for a tough day. I've seen it go in our favour before. I did think Kennedy's second yellow was spot on (his first maybe harsh?) and a couple of the other controversial incidents (the disallowed goal, the possible foul at the winner) I was obscured by a big metal pole so can't really comment on. Our performance in general probably wasn't too different from numerous others this season but we had a target to hit up front in Roberts, and a player in Kennedy who competed well at goal kicks, long free kicks and the like. The sort of thing every other team does routinely. Lyon was absolutely dreadful on the ball and cost us the opening goal; he's costing us a goal a game. Some decent performances among the rest and definitely an undeserved outcome at full-time, albeit we didn't deserve to win either. Not that a draw would have been worth much in the long run. Moore can moan about Grant giving away a free-kick on the halfway line. From speaking with the podcast guys, they find their superfan very flattering, if not a tad stalkerish. Onto the football. Poor result today.
