Fife Derby II - Dunfermline Athletic v Kelty Hearts

Recommended Posts

Another Fife Derby, this time at East End Park for what I assume will only be the second competitive appearance for the wee Hearts after the Junior Cup final loss to Linlithgow. There won't be as big a crowd this time but hopefully the away end has a decent crowd in it.

Pars lost their first league match on Saturday and to be honest it's been coming with some sub-par performances and scrappy 1-0 wins masking some deficiencies so there needs to be a bit of a reaction to make sure it doesn't become a bad run with Falkirk away coming up. Kelty on the other hand had a great win through at Grangemouth and have put a good wee run together.

The reverse fixture at New Central Park was quite turgid so anything better than that will be a start, but to be honest I'd take another rubbish 1-0 just to get back to winning ways. Will be a tight match I assume though, and I'm sure Potter will have them well drilled at the back. f**k it, 3-0 Pars, Wighton (2) and Edwards.

Wighton watching wee Kev's master class against Foster on the big pitch would be a start.

However I agree have to see an improved performance against a Kelty team that have indeed picked up and are now above Airdrie, who would have thought that possible even a few weeks ago.

Please god don't let Joe score. I don't think I'll be able to cope 😥

Guaranteed to happen, and it will be a classic Joe goal that the entire stadium will see coming from the moment he collects the ball on the left near the box.
