Salvo Montalbano Posted October 24, 2022 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Another Fife Derby, this time at East End Park for what I assume will only be the second competitive appearance for the wee Hearts after the Junior Cup final loss to Linlithgow. There won't be as big a crowd this time but hopefully the away end has a decent crowd in it. Pars lost their first league match on Saturday and to be honest it's been coming with some sub-par performances and scrappy 1-0 wins masking some deficiencies so there needs to be a bit of a reaction to make sure it doesn't become a bad run with Falkirk away coming up. Kelty on the other hand had a great win through at Grangemouth and have put a good wee run together. The reverse fixture at New Central Park was quite turgid so anything better than that will be a start, but to be honest I'd take another rubbish 1-0 just to get back to winning ways. Good patient move with Todd heavily involved as usual, a clipped ball over the top for Wighton to run onto and he cut it back for Todarov. Not just the hit, which was headed to the top corner as soon as it left his boot, but the work by Higginbotham keeping the ball alive and recycling it.
