Livingston v Celtic

Recommended Posts

Andy Walker not being able to tell the difference between Kyogo and Hatate, despite distinctly different hair colours amongst other notable differences, is a tad awkward.

Why would it be?

It comes back to a Celtic player because Obileye stops it going to kyogo who is offside. Are defenders now to guess for offside and not play the ball?

Moy - Who then had a shot, which was blocked by a Livi defender, and came back out to Taylor.

I suspect if Moy had scored it may have been contentious.

Is it not all part of the "attacking phase of play" though?

Fucktifano mate !

If Livi scored that one, I would be saying the same though.

Have a read of law 11 to learn why Kyogo is not offside: https://www.theifab.com/laws/latest/offside/#offside-offence

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
interfering with an opponent by:

  • preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or
  • challenging an opponent for the ball or
  • clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or
  • making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball
