St Mirren v Kilmarnock 15/10/2022

Jonah returns so hoping for the same as the Livingston game, more of the score rather than the performance.
Haven’t seen the ticket sales but Killie usually bring a good crowd to Paisley, would consider giving them another stand if they could sell it out.

This is an important game for us after the defeat at Ibrox. Recent results for Killie, County and Dundee United have closed up the pack somewhat so it would be good to get a result here to try and increase the margin again and try to keep at the right end.

Hope Strain is fit again as he's important to our creativity from RB.

We have looked better in our last couple of games but away from home has been poor so far this season.

Hopefully we can avoid defeat at the very least but, despite St Mirren having a far better start, we would always expect to win in Paisley and failing to do so here would be a big blow.

Saints have won their last 4 home games.

Killie have not picked up a point on the road all season.

So only one outcome...

Away win, and the opportunity for Killie fans to pretend their squad is much better than it actually is.

Obviously we were very, very fortunate to beat Livingston (who were 10x the team we were that day, apparently), Celtic, Hibs, United and County. I think another jammy home win here and the first game in history where both teams' possession stats don't even add up to 50%.

1-0 Saints, Declan Gallagher, 53rd minute.

Would be disappointed if we didn't take all 3 points. We're in better form and have a better team than Killie. Of course, the St Johnstone game shows how being better in most areas doesn't guarantee you a performance.

Think this is the most important game of the season. Win and we can dream of a relatively stress free season. Lose and the gap gets uncomfortable again. Draw is a stick on certainty

Just shows how fragile my St Mirren-related confidence is. One international break and a defeat to Rangers and suddenly I'm jittery about a home game against Killie.

Anybody know how our squad's looking? Will Ayunga be back for this? Him and Main are definitely the first-choice partnership right now. Hope Strain's fully fit as well.

Tough game for us this afternoon. We need to see signs of life on the road at some point, hopefully today's the day but St Mirren are on an excellent run of home form - very difficult to see us getting anything.

Robbo says we have a full squad to choose from, so team pretty much picks itself. Some debate over Tanser or Tait at LWB but Tanser will get the nod IMO.

-----------Carson--------------

---Fraser - Gallagher - Dunne

Strain - Baccus - Erhahon - Tanser

------------O'Hara--------------

--------Ayunga - Main ------

Yeah, you're probably right.

Might have to confess to having forgotten about Gogic.

It's an odd one. We spend the Summer discussing his possible return, looked like it wasn't going to happen, we then had a bad spell and people were criticising not brining him back, we bring him back and at the same time we see an improvement in results without him playing all that big a part in it.
