Queen’s Park v The Ton, 4-10-22

Recommended Posts

We have been utterly dreadful for 60 minutes so far tonight. Deserve absolutely nothing based on this. Any complaints about Morton timewasting or the ref from the stands are nothing but excuses.

Morton do not look like a team in 8th place tonight. Some reaction from Saturday for them.

Great goal from Mal Boateng but nothing changed for the last half hour. Deserved nothing and got it.

The only positive will be if we turn up on Saturday with the reaction that Morton showed up with today after their shocker.

Fair post.

But it's a straight red for that profile pic.

Queens fans a shower of moaning, greetin faced c***s. Get it right up you.

Understandable that they'd be raging tbh. After all they signed up to watch the next Gretna, only to get dunted off to darkest Larbert every fortnight because they can't even build their ground and end up getting sworded by fucking Kabia and Muirhead.

Time to fold and try their luck with Darvel instead.

Only caught the second half. Don’t think there’s a single player who looked at their best and we continue to give away circus level goals to make the job harder. Looked too slow on the ball. If you’re not on it in this league, you’ll probably be beaten. Dundee on the sharp end of a shite result tonight as well. Credit to Morton. They dug it out and we can have no complaints.

As for any time wasting shouts, if we’re leading at Somerset on Saturday, I want our players faking their own deaths to kill time. It’s good game management.

We've got Hamilton on Saturday and so will likely see tactics like this.

Aye, this was what allowed us to control the game for the first hour.

In recent weeks teams have been successfully pressing us and stopping our midfield settling which was a major factor in losing three in a row. Tonight Crawford was everywhere and it was Queen's midfield who couldn't settle into the game while being forced into mistakes by our pressing. In turn Gillespie was given the time and space that he hadn't had in the previous three games and we dictated the game as a result.

No complaints tonight, beaten by a hungrier, more committed side. Showed signs of the side we are capable of being after going 2-0 put a rocket up our arse - but too little too late.

We found ourselves playing into Morton's hands far too often, playing the ball long into channels or up to Murray for knock downs is absolute meat and drink for their two centre halfs who I thought both had good games. Boateng and Thomson again had two good showings and tried their hardest in the middle of the park. Eze extremely uncomfortable on the ball all game and was poor in aerial duals for a man of his stature, Muirhead bullied him.

Moving on to Saturday, for me I think Coyle got it wrong with the team and formation tonight and we have to revert back to 2 up top with Williamson surely being given the nod ahead of Kenny on the basis of their cameos tonight
