ford prefect
The buddies up to third. Always a pleasure to beat Livingston. A team who remind me of Alex McDonald's hearts from the 80s. A shower of dirty cheats. Oh and Sean Kelly's still a saint!

Suppose we'll never know if he would have saved it. If that's the case then the player shouldn't have been sent off as he didn't stop a goal. It's a ridiculous rule that gives the Chester a chance to gain from it as they did today Would need to see it back but Ayunga was nearer the 6 yard line, Carson definitely behind him. He did deny a goal scoring opportunity but if he can save it, surely the keeper was saving it unless his view was blocked by Ayunga. We didn't deserve to win that today but there has been plenty of times we have played much better and lost so you take it and move on. Concerned with a few of the injuries we seem to have picked up but on we to go Govan next week.
Stu
Fully expected us to screw up after beating Livi so that's a great result. Would have taken a point after the red card, even though the penalty was missed, so to get all three is tremendous. Guessing our best ever start to an SPL/Premiership season?
buddie06smfc
Loved that. Clinical from Saints as I can’t recall many, if any, other shots on target. Thank god the second half fair picked up. Livi flattered to deceive, had a lot of the ball without making Carson do anything but still never deserved to lose that game. Pleasing to win that kind of game especially when we were rotten compared to previous weeks. Ayunga will be a big miss for next week, which is a shame. Hopefully Main is back, think Robinson’s mind will be made up to go with Kiltie and a proper striker now. Strain likewise be a big miss if he is out even longer.

Looking at the results from last season. We have matched our league wins at home already. We only beat Aberdeen x2 Perth Saints and Dundee at home. Previous season before that we only won 5 home games. It's got to be our best start in the SPL/SPFL era. Gareth_Glasgow
Brilliant to see us win a game where we were the poorer team for most of it, hopefully that’s a sign that we can push on and get top six this season. I’ve been critical of Tanser but I thought he was MOTM today, he was pretty much our only cool head in defence and his set pieces were excellent in the second half. Flynn was brilliant off the bench and filled in all over the place. I think Greive was really needing a goal too.
Bobby_F
Always pleasing to win a game in that fashion. Even more so when it’s against Livingston. And even even more so seeing the salty tears on the previous page

Billy Jean King
That in the circumstances was a fantastic result. Never really in the game with midfield totally bypassed by both teams but we stuck at it and ground out what in the end was a very unlikely but utterly glorious 3 points. Squad taking a battering but who cares when you are 3rd in the league with 5 wins from 6. Thought the guys away on international duty looked leggy but by god they dug in well and fair play to Greive for his winner. No better way to repay a gaffer than that. Well chuffed tonight.
Stan Bo
For really long spells that was just awful. Whilst it was a bit smash and grab saying it was the most undeserved win ever is just embarrassing. We dominated Motherwell far more in the first game and lost to a sucker punch. Missing Ayunga and potentially Main and Strain is going to be a nightmare.
The Wrong Car
To be fair, most Livi fans seem to be pointing the blame at our own defending late in matches and refusal to take our chances, an issue from last season. The biggest heads-gone, inexplicably, seems to be Div vs the Livi away crowd on Twitter
Troy.1995
As most on this forum have said,Livi didn't deserve to lose that game. But fair play to the Buddies, kept going and got the 3 points.Undesrved imo.Livi again shot themselves in the foot.
buddie06smfc
No one deserves a ‘round ye’ more than Nicky Devlin. Presumably he was missing at those last few corners we eventually scored from as he was still running the length of the main stand celebrating the equaliser. Head down straight down the tunnel come full time. Wonderful.
Scrutinizer
Poor game, 2 sides full of poor passing,If St.Mirren can play as bad as that and still take the 3 points shows how bad Livi were.Plenty effort from certain Livi players, but too many stray balls You could see Livi were struggling up front, Martindale done nothing about it ,just excepted it until ST.Mirren scored why?? was he playing for a 0-0. All in all Livi probably deserved nothing from this game, too sloppy,to many players of the boil and poor decision making by Martindale....Play for a draw and you usually end up with a defeat.. George 6/10 Devlin 6/10 Obileye 4/10 Kelly 1/10 Never liked him as a player, useless ... Bahamboula 5/10 Has skill, but drifts out games too easily Oméonga 5/10 plenty of effort,no final product Pittman 6/10 Good work rate, needs to concentrate more with the ball Holt 5/10 Played OK,good workrate Penrice 4/10 didn't do enough Nouble 2/10 Off the boil, looks sluggish and burnt out Guthrie 2/10 Done nothing can't see him scoring many Shinnie ---- Never going to score Anderson ---- Couple of chances done well Kelly Never really noticed him -
Billy Jean King
One thing I would say about the Livi support, the % that post on here who actually go to the games must be high given the actual number in attendance.

ATLIS
To be fair, that away support is equal to something like 20-30% of our home support. Proportionally it checks out just fine, the same as any other club. The guy running the twitter has had a total heads gone moment, outing himself with some proper Tory comments St Mirren well worth their win today, we collapsed against 10 men and should've taken a draw. If you can't bury a penalty then what chance have you got.
