The difference between Ukraine's motivation levels from the game in June to last week looked huge, understandably. Making a world cup would have been massive for them given the circumstances. Winning UEFA Nations League Group B1? Not so much. I'm sure their players have much more important things on their mind than this game and this group as a whole, and that is to our advantage. We have no other matches scheduled after this. I believe our next game will be in the Euro 2024 qualifiers in the weekend starting the 23rd of March? Six months away. We will have the world cup on telly in the meantime but there's not even any warm up friendlies for us to be the stooge in. Clarke and the players and the fans could certainly be doing with going into that self imposed fallow period on a bit of a high, and winning this group is the way to do it. Stick 5 at the back, McTominay, McGregor, Armstrong and McGinn in midfield and Adams upfront on his own. I’m not sure Scotland can afford to lose Tierney, Robertson, McKenna, McTominay and Patterson from the defence and hope to do well. However, I’ll be watching to see if we can do it. Reckon he'll go with: Gordon Hendry Gallagher Kingsley Hickey Taylor Gilmour McGinn McGregor Adams Christie It'll be a toss up of Adams/Dykes and Christie/Fraser.
