What is the fascination with playing Ryan Jack? Haven't ranjurrz fans figured out yet that when he's out the team they are winning by 3 or more goals and it's more often than not a solitary goal win when he does play. He's too slow on the ball and just not an international class player by any stretch. Not that Kenny McLean is but I just don't get the clamour for Jack.

It's standard Scotland, a game against a bunch of jobbers intent of playing zero football and  who want to boot everything that moves, injuring half our team, before a game against someone actually good where we have to play benchwarmers.

Really looking forward to the game. Shame injuries are hitting us at the moment but this is a direct confrontation between two peers for one position so it's like the playoff in June. If we want to move ahead into top 20 UEFA countries we must push Ukraine out. I prefer that face to face.

Big ask tomorrow now with the personnel we have missing. Going to take a massive shift from everyone including the coaching staff! No idea what formation he'll look to go now. Does he stick with the 4 and bring in Gallagher and hope he has another night like Serbia where he was absolutely colossal? Does he go a 3 and bring in Gallager and say doig/kingslay LCB ? Don't think there is a right or wrong answer. Lets shit fest our way to a 0-0 and secure a play off!

am confident we will get a win and won't see a repeat of the June game - imagine the performance will be somewhere in between June and last Wednesday's game with the fact it is being played in Krakow helping us with this "away" tie (though suspect there will be a fair amount of Ukrainian fans at it). I just hope that whatever formation we settle on, if it is not working, we change it quickly!

I don't see Gallagher coming into a back 4. Also is Kingsley maybe an option on the left of a three?

Would it be Hickey and Taylor as wingback in that scenario?

Kingsley LCB is definitely an option. Would most likely be Taylor LWB and Hickey on the right, unless Hickey isn’t fit, in which case Ralston would come in.

The fascination is probably the fact that he has been extremely good for Scotland and formed an excellent partnership with Callum McGregor which led to us qualifying for the Euros in the first place. He also played more or less every game in a Rangers team that reached a European final last season.

His form has dropped a bit this year, but he's seems like the best option for me unless Gilmour is actually fit.

Reports that Dykes and Adams have both fell ill but still travelling. Both of them being unavailable would be a fucking disaster.

Ryan Christie or Stuart Armstrong playing as a ‘false 9’ would be the likely outcome of Dykes and Adams not being available I guess.

Craig Levein walked so that Stevie Clarke could run.

Time to unleash the 4-6-0 shitfest

Hahaha fucking hell

If we manage to get a point out of this game then it'll be the best point of Clarke's career.

One being out makes things awkward but if they're both out then that's just taking the piss.

Christie gives you the energy and pace in behind but is unlikely the make the pass stick. McGinn has played like a second striker a few times for Scotland and does a lot of it well - a two of him and Christie with Fraser and another out wide? Could be the best bet.
