Finlay21
For anyone going to the testimonial Racenight please note it’s card only at bar and cash only at betting table , the committee would like to thank John Grigor ( Ayrshire Taxis) for being the main sponsor along with the 32 sponsors of the races and the 128 people who purchased a horse , looks like a great deal of money will be raised towards his payout next October , look out for our next event coming soon , a night with Moff and friends , other events planned are a legends match , golf day , dinner with 5 previous captains , testimonial match , gala dinner at end and some smaller events in between

Exactly, I think that’s the reason he wants to be there to show his respect for the legend who is The Moff
third lanark
In this day and age that’s a good length of service- similar to Bannigan with ourselves. Does Moffat have a coaching role with Ayr in addition to playing and do you think he is looking to get into management in the future?

He’s a fitness coach and also does a lot of work with the younger strikers like Fraser Bryden and Max Guthrie. Im not sure if he’ll be a manager but I can definitely see him having a job at Ayr for as long as he wants.

Thereisalight..
Is there going to be a testimonial game? Ayr Utd v ex Ayr/teammates would be good. Shankland and big Jamie in an Ayr strip again
cop
A Testimonial game against Sheffield Wednesday would be good seeing as the often mentioned potential friendly last summer didn't materialise.
Trogdor
I can't remember who suggested it but our L1 title winning team versus Dunfermline's L1 winning team would be good. Given Moffat was in both teams.
