The Mantis
That was cringeworthy. Start with a strong side, get the game won, then introduce the youngsters. A major blunder by BD expecting Mackay and Hyde to run the midfield. The baldy boy Spark was outstanding. The early goal just made us complacent. Brechin get all the credit but at least we’re still in it.
TheScarf
Yep, put the game beyond doubt then bring on the inexperienced players to give them some experience.
SandyCromarty
Brechin fielded a strong side which has given them 7 wins out of 7 games so far this season and we put out a team with some inexperienced players to start, an early 8 minute goal took Brechin by surprise but they stayed in it and fought hard to take the game back to 3 all with minutes on the clock, with a 2-1 lead at half time we should have stayed with that first half side but Dodds preferred to sub 2 players at the start which upset our play and allowed Brechin to come back in to the game. The final score was the correct one but with proper management that game should have been put to bed way before it was, knowing that Brechin were on a roll game wise Dodds should have fielded a stronger side to start and then let the younger players on, young Mackay for instance was chasing the ball all over the park in that first half instead of maintaining his wing position, he'll learn, anyway enough said. McHattie did well for them so he'll step up come the January windae. Who do we have next. bdu98196
If this is a demonstration of our strength and depth, we are bang ordinary and it'll tell in the league when we get a few injuries or suspensions

His preparation on how Brechin play was seemingly based on watching their Scottish cup highlights from last week. This was the type of management which contributed to our catastrophic downfall. Just saying .

Juanhourjoe
Thought Devine was our best player till he went off. Harper and Oakley get pass marks for the first half too. Our attacking midfielders offered very little. With Doran barely making an impact, and young Mackay trying hard, but easily getting bodied off the ball. Second half the defence fell apart with the changes. Hyde was OK in midfield but terrible positioning at right back. And Allardice was awful too. Boyd looked good late on. Think he might have more of an influence on games centrally than out wide. Good effort from Brechin, worked hard. And unlucky to go out on that performance.
bdu98196
Glad to read some honest assessments. The number of fans who think toiling away against part timers is acceptable because some of our best players were missing is mental. We probably spend more on wages of back up players than Brechin do on a whole team and thats before you factor in coaching staff and youth. The idea that letting a 3-1 lead slip and conceding 3 goals to opposition of that level is acceptable baffles. Perhaps loosing would have been the best result to increase the pressure a bit more on the regime and turn a few more fans into questioning the clubs direction and strategy longterm.
RiG
Admittedly I wasn't at this one but barely scrapping by against a Highland League (albeit a good one on a solid run of form) isn't good enough for a team that apparently has lofty ambitions of promotion from the Championship. It shows that a lot of our players both first XI and back ups aren't getting it done at the minute and Dodds needs to get them really fired up for this weekends game which is probably the toughest of the season (save for Partick Thistle).
TheScarf
Yep, conceding 3 at home to an HL side is fucking ludicrous.
