true fan
Have any league 2 clubs announced whether the will be playing God Save the King at matches this weekend?
Jan Vojáček
I'm really hoping we don't. Minutes silence and black armbands will be more than enough without all this over the top 'look how much we're grieving' garbage. Rangers B will no doubt play it prior to their next game as the Rock, and there will be enough royalism there for one stadium.

Richey Edwards
Why would you want to hear a song that once contained lyrics about crushing "rebellious Scots"?
Neilly
They really better not. The football should be a place to get away from the circus this weekend.
true fan
Agree, if they do I won’t be standing afca32 or whatever the name down voted my original post which was a neutral request for info/conversation starter - what a strange thing to do

This is it. Folk always say "keep politics out of football" but we never do. A very well known Dumbarton fan passed away the day before the queen, I would much rather the club focussed on showing him respect than some royal who wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire.

tamthebam
The Queen's maternal grandad, the Earl of Strathmore, was a Forfar Athletic fan. That's about the only royal connection to League 2 I can think of
