What about the choice of the players, coaches, committees etc? Do they not get a choice?

No as they’re doing their job (paid or unpaid).  The rest of the country will still be going to work including other Sportsmen and women. No one else working will be getting a choice.

Simples.

You think Prince Andrew's relatives want the games on?!

To be fair Andrew would be delighted if the juniors were on.

what makes football special, motorsport carried on as normal this weekend including the stock car world final, 2 minutes silence at a appropriate time, i dont see football fans as any different.

As was said before, football fans always get it tight. The working class should be grateful for what she did it seems.

They were scared that disrupted minutes silences at some grounds would be broadcast around the World - bad for the "brand".

You can bet your last dollar that even after this period of mourning that the first games back we will still have a minutes silence.  Arthurlie have recently lost two long standing supporters. We were supposed to honour them at our next home game. Nothing against HRH but I hope  she doesn't take preference over these guys. These two lived and breathed Arthurlie for years and it would be a disgrace if they were shunted aside.

Sure the club will honour their patrons. Wasn't clubs who decided to cancel games. At this level clubs value supporters, even within this current madness.
