He said that as sovereign he believes his work must include “protecting the space for faith itself” and the valued differences which people live by. Is he going to be diligently speaking out about Catholicism and Islam? Intervening to protect churches from closure? They’re therefore claiming - and no one is questioning it - that more than half the world’s population will be watching, and every single TV will be tuned in to the funeral live. Apparently the 4.1 billion figure is traceable only as far back as a “TV analyst” for the Daily Star. It’s made-up. 4.1 out of 7.5 billion people on the planet, we can be sure, will not be watching this funeral (on TVs, laptops, or on any other devices). Tabloids did the same thing at the royal weddings - billions upon billions would be watching live. They didn’t, of course - but the lie was already in print and online. They even reported in 2014 when he added his incoherent, squeaky-voiced tuppenceworth on an independence referendum in a country that wasn't his. You can be enjoying a tennis match at Wimbledon any year but the BBC will spoil it for you by cutting to his grinning, uncomprehending boat race if it arrives in the expensive seats. And today he appears in THE QUEUE. And the BBC reverently carries the squeaky voice telling us 'a fing like this is meant to be shared togevva' and 'it was important to come ere wiv the family'.
