Gary Irvine’s Relegation Express vs Stirling Albion

Recommended Posts

Will Gary Irvine spend less than 80 minutes sitting on the bench instead of coaching his players?

Will Matthew Aitken stay on his feet and not dive for once?

Will Stirling have to do much to get all three points?

Will a loss here mean the end for Gary Irvine?

The answer to everything is no.

I suspect forfar will have a lot of the ball in areas they can do no damage offensively, resorting in pot shots on goal from 30 yards plus.

They will then either switch off at the back or concede from a set play.

Meanwhile, the board will be happy as Larry with the hospitality takings and potential for more business from golf days and dinners.

The posts from the Forfar boys on here could apply to Stirling too.  Both on and off the field, although we'll see if this new regime changes the off field stuff.

We've been ok in spells but individual errors at the back are killing us.  We're having one of those runs where every error leads to a goal unfortunately.  We pass the ball nicely at times but sadly the midfield lacks the pace or guile to pose much of a threat.  But Carrick and Thomson up front are good when they're on song so a lot depends on those two.  If you keep them quiet we offer little elsewhere.

Having said that, we've got a young boy called Kai Fotheringham on loan from Dundee United who looks like a player so maybe he'll give us the spark we need

Anyone's game and I guess you could say that about every team in the league except Dumbarton at the moment.  Not much to choose between a raft of mediocre teams.

Not keen on the white Cafu then?

We liked and rated him when he was just a player, it’s not working out for him as a manager unfortunately

We *will* gift at least one gilt-edged goal scoring opportunity to Forfar during this game due to some form of defensive calamity. It’s so predictable it’s become a law of physics and kids will learn about this in school for generations to come.

Doesn’t matter, you will still be 3/4-0 by then
