Has anyone in politics, both domestic and internationally, made such a rip roaring c**t of it in such a small amount of time of being leader? Genuine question.

Didius Julianus lasted 65 days after being the highest bidder when the Roman Empire was auctioned off. Bought off the Praetorian Guard for 50 million denari when average worker got 1 denari a day. He was deposed and executed after civil unrest.*

Just swap bankers for the Guards and we've got Diddyus Trussanus.

Interweb's some place, eh?😄

His successor died of influenza.  His name was Copious Mucus.

There will be a real human cost to all this, and it won't be those that should bear it that do.

But the irony of Brittania Unchained "unleashing the power of the markets" only to find out that markets are dangerous indiscriminate fuckers is quite hilarious.

They most certainly are when faced with some hapless morons that clearly have no idea what they're doing; a chastening moment when they unleash their opinion of you and its overwhelmingly negative. Or it would be if the people in question weren't utterly oblivious to what's happening and lash out with nonsense about markets overreacting or the BoE hating Britain.

Again one of the foundations of the UK economy getting the Dynamic runs sounds pretty bad.

How can you run on a pension fund?

The bankers are happy again because instead of QE being unwound as was scheduled it's now being increased. Any attempt to unwind will lead to a market tantrum.

So we now have the exact same people telling us that QE causes inflation but also that we need more QE to prevent inflation.....

Don't you remember, last month it was greedy unions causing inflation. Nothing to do with energy markets or the stock market 😉
