Ayr vs Thistle - 10th September 2022

Recommended Posts

Can't be too mad, really. We've played better but can't finish our dinner and then we score an OG with a header that could have gone anywhere and then go up the field and one hits off the Ayr keeper when he knew nothing about it.

Similar to Saturday at half time, I think we have it in us to win it from here but we could easily also lose 6-1 if Ayr get the next goal. We're dominating the midfield and Turner has been excellent apart from his set pieces which are normally his strong point but when Ayr do get behind our midfield it's full on panic stations as shown by the second goal.

We’ve actually been alright but our shit show defence causing us problems again. Tunji asleep for the first then Brownlie smasning one in the top corner. We’ve missed half a dozen decent chances too.

Ayr’s lack of pies is almost as bad as our central defence.

The thistle midfield are light weight

when they don’t have ball they don’t win it enough to win games

need a proper holding ball winner

turner wants to drop and get on ball when he really needs to spin and join graham and dowds

Can the bench change anything??

Nope.
