Clyde v Alloa

Recommended Posts

We’ve got the current top three coming after this so could be doing with putting the losing skid in the rear view mirror before we hit that stretch.

I agree that Allan should be up there with Cunningham, they linked up well in the Peterhead game before Allan got his red card. Wonder if Thicot will get a start given the reports last week - wasn’t there myself - if he does, I’d imagine it’ll be for Sula although P Grant seemed to be the one struggling by all accounts.

Big game for us, need to try and keep things positive and another defeat would spoil that. Hopefully we go back to playing a back four as the 3 at the back hasn't worked at all. If that means two of the centre halves are benched, so be it.

Will be interesting to see what Rice does with the line up after winning 5-0 last week but with 3 new signings having come in and perhaps others back from injury.

Our record against Clyde last season was horrific, but there was at least the slight consolation of knowing it enraged Ferguson and highlighted his bizarre handling of Parry. That doesn't apply anymore and hopefully we can do much better here than we managed at Broadwood last year.

You'd argue it's hard to change a winning team, but with the new signings it'll be interesting. Rice said his formations usually based on the opponent's.

Not sure he'll have Stanger and Devine at CB together, unless we go back to a back three. Graham is so good at reading the game and you can hear him shouting instructions to others all the time, an experienced head with the two young CBs would be ideal. Also depends if Durnan is fit or not I guess.

Hope O'Donnell keeps his place, deserves it after his performance last week

Soft goal from Lyons pathetic concession of the corner, Parry's silly attempts to come for it and then watching the ball bounce in.

After that we have been the better side and Alloa are exceptionally lucky to have eleven men on the pitch.

Graham should absolutely have been sent off. Very lucky to escape any punishment when he pulled back Allan on his way through for his dreadful miss. Definite booking for hacking down Ray Grant too. After a dreadful start we’ve grown into the game to become the better side and should be ahead. Naturally, we’ll lose this one!
