County vs Aberdeen, 03/09/22

Recommended Posts

Seven points from our last three games is a decent return, but that is a horrible way not to win. Back-to-back away wins would have felt like something of a turning point, too. We are more secure when defending in open play compared to last season, but are definitely still figuring out set-pieces.

Duk pushing for a start after the last three games, but I do wonder whether he is better used as an impact option from the bench when the game has become more stretched and the opposition are starting to labour a bit.

Ten years ago you grumpy old f**k. Long enough to be retro.

...and of course I'm a grumpy old f**k, we've just dropped two points with virtually the last kick of the game when the ball should have been cleared.

A sickener to lose a goal in the 95th minute with the last kick.

Ross County are a Highland league team though.
Foul, long ball, foul, long throw, foul etc.

Horrible team, but we should defend that better. Kennedy had a fresh air swipe at the ball that should’ve cleared it

Anyway, we deserved f**k all from that. Showed Aberdeen far too much respect (hardly Real Madrid ffs) and offered absolutely nothing in the first half. Showed a bit more going forward in the second half, but dreadful stuff for the most part. Take the draw though and move on.

I think we’re showing we’re undoubtedly a better side that’s rough around the edges.

Played well today but lack of quality in the opponents third and more criminal defending will see you drop points.

You're right that we got ourselves into some great positions just outside the County box but, apart from the goal, our delivery was woeful. Jayden Richardson did some great work to get into superb positions to put a great ball into the box and never did it.

Ross County: hard to beat but terrible.  Except when they play Rangers or Celtic, in which case just terrible.

If Aberdeen had a decent striker then they would have won comfortably. Despite their possession and attacks on goal they created very few clear chances.

Gutted to lose the goal so close to the end, but once again we scored late on. That became a bit of thing for us last season and we did it against Kilmarnock this season and once again today. Late goals like that always make it feel like a win instead of a draw. A big hard earned point for us. Delighted for Akio as well, I think he will be a big player for us this season.
