Tierney will never score again and the Spittal 1v1 passback. Nearly threw it away in the second half with a few individual errors. Aarons is no good on the right. Never convinvced inverted wingers works. You need at least one guy going down the line on his good foot. For the first 45 minutes, that's the best Motherwell performance I've witnessed in a long, long time. On another day, van Veen gets another hattrick and it's a comfortable afternoon. I'm hoping when the likes of McKinstry, Aarons and Moult get up to speed, we'll be even better. It seems we're on the cusp of being a very good side to watch. As for Utd, it's been a tough few weeks and it's obvious the players' confidence is shattered. Still, a League Cup quarter final place and a hard fought 0-0 will do the players and the fans the world of good. Onwards! KVV really should be up the road with the match ball.We played some nice stuff at times so I’m still feeling positive.Dundee United have no pace and very little threat. Maybe you look at the clean sheet and think it worked but really it was only poor finishing that stopped this being another skelping. Nice to get a clean sheet, and for our keeper to have been decisive in a positive way for once. Should restore a bit of confidence.
