Aberdeen🔴⚪️ vs Patrick Thistle 🔴🟡

Fair play to the thistle fans, gave great backing for the majority of the evening.
Aberdeen were miles better though. Duk was absolutely fantastic. Won almost every header, worked hard off the ball, even as far back as his own byline to win a goal kick, and then has that extra bit of power and quality in attack.

I am totally shocked with the draw for the semi's.

All of the non bigots in Scotland are fully behind Aberdeen to win the Cup.

Of the two teams we could have drawn in the semi, Rangers are obviously the weaker but I still think we will struggle against 12 men (assuming Beaton is the ref)

Very enjoyable first half.  Thistle played a relatively ambitious open style that suited our attacking players.  Coulson, Duk and Clarkson were the standouts - but some great pace and intent throughout.

Second half became very slack, other than Ramirez' audacious ping early on - and Ryan's late screamer on his apparent weak foot to calm things down.

McCrorie and Barron became a bit of a mess in the second half when an element of composure was needed.  Shayden Monakana still deceives to flatter.

Decent midweek atmosphere including a good away following from Glasgow's main non-bigot choice of club.

Quite happy with the draw - albeit we'll see where both squads are and which managers are still intact come mid January.

Thought we were very good in the first half but, Duncan’s goal aside, a woeful second half. Morris was gash, Barron had a poor night I thought, Ramirez… I really wanted him to score… it was like no one actually wanted the ball at their feet. Partick’s goal came from comedy goalkeeping (and our defence allowing a free header?!).

Still, pleasing result and a trip to Hampden to look forward to.

Ramirez looked good when he came on. Seems to have a fresh attitude again and did a lot of good things in possession.

Thistle got their goal from the Achilles heel, corners. It gave them confidence and they had a spell. The team rode that spell out well enough and the tide had turned again well before the goal as Aberdeen gradually regained control of the game and thistle became less dangerous.
The game was over before Duncan’s goal but that was the Cherry on the top of an overall good night for the dandies.
Now please can we sort out the away form!

That was a great watch overall. Loads of chances created, four goals scored and made the top team in the Championship look very ordinary. Really exciting performance again last night, with Duk, Clarkson, Coulson, Ramadani really impressing. No doubt some people will concentrate on the Thistle goal, which Roos had to save. It's a pity after the great match Roos had on Saturday, he decided to throw one in last night.

Better throwing it in last night than on Saturday.
