The Scottish Cup - Lowland League Edition

Reminds me of when Clyde moved out to Broadwood 28 years ago.

I went along out of curiosity more than anything else to one of the opening midweek games and there was a similar crowd.

The difference being Clyde were an old established football club rather than a breakaway from a boys club with a 5 minute history.

Hard to believe 1500 turned up but there you go.

Shows you the power of the internet.

7 possibly 8 LL clubs through to the next round.

With a bit of luck in the draw and using that ratio there might be 1 or 2 LL clubs still in the Scottish after Christmas

Super result for the Spartans original members of the LL against a team many think should be in the LL.

1,515 according to the Broomhill Twitter, which seems quite impressive, assuming they weren’t giving tickets away or anything which would be doubtful as a shared gate.

Lots of free tickets being given out apparently to manufacture a crowd that can then be trumpeted on the podcast etc.

They also seem to have recruited some Twitter users from all over the country to post stuff about how great they are.

Looks like Open Goal Media are controlling the social media output rather than the football club.

Free tickets at a Scottish Cup tie.

Wonder what Brora Rangers thinking was on that regarding a share of the gate money.

Brora would be entitled to half the gate based on numbers attending but with the Lawell millions behind them, it’s money well spent to trumpet how great the crowd is and manufacture the idea that they now have a support.

I know you have a gripe against them, but your latest conspiracy theory is right up there. 😂😂😂
