We had 15/16 fit senior players last weekend I believe?

Dorrans and Allan are both injured and the rest are just kids from the Academy.

We had 17, including an Academy player, a trialist and our goalie coach.

Alloa had 19.  Plenty clubs struggling for bodies at the moment.

This is ridiculous, this thread. Where’s all the animosity gone?

Of course Tynecastle that night, Jackie McNamara always getting sent off against us but worse for me was the 0-0 at EEP when dirty Pars were reduced to 10 men early on then took all the ballboys away and booted the ball into touch for an hour.

We hate them. They used to hate us. It’s all gone a  bit indifferent and beige.

Channel last game at old Broomfield, Stevie Cooper at Broadwood or Martin Hardie at EEP. Get it up em!

Ohh and better if we try and improve on converting 1/10 in ten shots at goal.

Nah, there are still plenty of us capable of reaching into that bag of animosity and making fun of the death of Norrie McCathie.

Careful you don't cut yourself on that edge.

Quite plausible. Last wee while there has always seemed to be one team we just cannae beat on the day, even when we play better than them. Raith, then Thistle, then Cove. All won the league. That wee grinding result is a bedrock of title winning sides.

Hopefully this year there aint one, but if there is, every chance it'll be Dunfermline.

Yeah while a draw is a decent enough result tomorrow, that only counts for something if we go on to win the home games. As much as people blame things like slow starts and individual moments, it’s clear that the one thing that’s really cost us over the last three seasons is not being able to beat the top team. Even in the Cove games, the fine margins of Neill and Fyvie’s late goals to grind out unlikely points were huge. It’s very early days of course and Dunfermline may well fall away but going up and winning tomorrow would set a real marker for the team to know we are capable of it.

You generally find teams forget they hate Airdrie till they play us.

We still have that special charm.

The animosity probably died when Airdrie did.

Apologies best check the name of this thread. Dunfermline vs The Dead 💀. Actually that’s fine.

You lot will be used to playing with corpses. Peculiarly Fife pastime now that the mining’s gone.

The mining has been gone for decades so unsure of the relevance here.

I think a lot of Airdrie fans would prefer being despised to the overpowering apathy that now follows them around like a bad smell.

You can still have a decent side on the park but it's simply not the same club. Even most of your own supporters have long since given up.

A few seasons in this league and that is your future too. It’s a graveyard for the once pretenders.

We were down here for three seasons earlier in the decade but our support hasn't disintegrated like Airdrie's has.

Pars vs Airdrie top of the table clash would have been a massive crowd in the 90s or even early 00s.

A shame.

Remember these games were massive  in he late80s early 90s a,real rivalry both sides basically scrapping it out every season .....

expecting a 4000 crowd....   Where is the best place to park near the ground.

2-1 Airdrie and perhaps we’ll find out why Dunfermline fans never refer to themselves as Dunfermline (pars this, pars that). Weirdo behaviour.
Prediction is likely right. The name is the same as any nickname used more commonly than a real name. It's shorter and easier to use. Unlike yours so you don't.

Loving the Diamond fans attempts to stir up and rekindle the old rivalry. Shame it feels the same as the wee team banter and rivalry with Raith.
