Willie adie
I sorely miss this annual publication, the Bible of Scottish football back in the day, I started collecting with the 1984/ 85 edition, And bought it every year until it stopped being produced. Thanks to eBay and online bookstores I finally managed to get all the early editions to complete the collection.

naegoodinthedark
That’s a great collection. Love going back and reading stuff like this. Brings up loads of memories (good and bad).

While never 100% accurate it was a fascinating browse, and has preserved huge amounts of information for posterity. It took me a while to assemble full set without paying silly money... early editions in big floppy format - especially inaugural issue and orange year - are fairly rare IIRC. Less well-known is SPL's short-lived rival... issued as large format "SPL Annual" in 1999-00, then "SPL Yearbook" for a few years: Basically identikit aping of SFL Review. E.g. compare 2000-01: or 2001-02: Some of those can be hard to obtain. Edited August 20, 2022 by HibeeJibee

I wonder how the publication would sell today, The only issue I had with the league review was it wasn't on sale until mid to late September or October, would have been more apt to be ready for season start, especially for filling in results , I wonder how much a full collection is worth
Willie adie
Delighted to go along the the memorabilia fayre art Pittodrie yestreen and get another 1990/91 copy, my issue had the centre pages falling out so to replace it with a near mint copy was pleasing

I used to write in transfers conducted throughout the season myself, I always thought it would be great if the publication had left a designated blank area for this
