Stenny vs Sons

Without doubt his time with us was the best he played in his career. Was unplayable for the most part.

He will get a good reception tomorrow from both sets of fans.

Big Match John turned in one of the best individual performances I've ever seen from a Stenny player in our Scottish Cup win at Annan Athletic in November 2013. We were two goals down and looked hopeless until he took matters into his own hands, scoring our first and assisting with the other three. He could frustrate the life out of me but when he had the fire in his belly, he was a smashing big player.

I've got a real nervous excitement about today. Had the same last week and it makes some change from the expectation of defeat I'd started to get used to over the last few seasons.

I can't attend today so perhaps why I feel no excitement but all I have is dread for today. Things going too well for us and not good enough for Stenny, it just feels like one of those that plop you back down to earth to me.

OOFT...BBPF will be on your case for negativity!!!

Its a difficult game as they have a good squad despite not having a great start. The surface will play its part no doubt and our record isnt brilliant there either. However I do hope we can get something from today and we have the players to do so.

Certainly not. I can totally understand that feeling. I’ve supported this team long enough to know that 4 wins on the bounce is pretty much unheard of. Stenny will also be desperate for a result here and on paper have a pretty strong squad.

I would maybe say dread is a strong word right enough but I’m approaching this one cautiously - hoping for a win but certainly not expecting one.

Not managed to make it through today, work commitments. Sounds like there’s not a lot between the teams going by Twitter etc. happy to be going in ahead!
