Sorry can’t help with the above question but is there something in the water down at Somervell just now? Going from cambuslangs Facebook page a good few of their squad have went on the transfer list over the weekend.

I know they haven’t had a great start to the season but still a bit surprising to see so many being made available at the one time

Seems the case doesn't it?

Discipline all shot, Somervell worst I've ever seen, virtually no home support. It's always been a tough trip but not this time

Wasn't that long ago the keys were being handed in at Hampden.

I've only been going along since moving locally 5 years ago but the demise has been rapid. Hardly any home support, a 2 man band running through club and the ground is in need of major modernisation.

Sad situation to be in for the Lang.

Sad situation to be in for the Lang.

They were jumping between the Central Divisions in the early 2010s, winning Division Two in 2015-16 and successive promotions got them up to the Premiership. Relegated after financial issues in 2018-19 and they were in the bottom three of the Championship before Covid came along. A quick rise up back to the Premier Division but they look to be in trouble again, no stability...

Cambuslang Rangers are a classic case of the pyramid coming far too late.

Even if it happened say 20 years ago then the top 10 clubs would have gone upwards to pastures new by now.

Cambuslang along with a number of others would have filled the vacuum left at the top of the Wosfl.

Hopefully Cambuslang can hang on but they and a number of other clubs need serious investment off the park as much as on it.

Especially if they are to take part in the big Scottish Cup.

Not buying that at all. If they can't get the locals to be enthusiastic about the club now that they are in the top league, then they wouldn't have done 20 years ago.  It's a bloody shame given their history in the Juniors.

From what has been written on here, they look to have made a series of bad decisions with personnel over the years and that, coupled with the stink of sectarianism, has made people lose interest. No matter how you like saying the word "pyramid", it has no bearing on this. There are plenty of other clubs without Cambuslang's history and potential who are thriving and pushing on.
