kiddy
Irvine Welsh's Porno got a mention on the Theatre thread, but was there over the weekend, & if you get a chance, Porno is a must see. Top shows were The Importance of being...Ernest?, Stewart Lee, Flo & Joan, Hal Cruttenden, & Jon Culshaw (Les Dawson). Decent shouts for Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London & Looking for Me Friend (Victoria Wood) Seann Walsh was a bit manic, but I couldn't decide whether it was car crash/brilliant. Angela Barnes & Will Duggan were a bit meh, but not cringe,

Not sure I'd have the courage to continue if that had happened to me. Glad to hear his ticket sales have soared on the back of this. I stupidly boxed myself in to a corner, if you were on the end of a row you could get out to the bar quite easily to be fair. Didn't see many folk going for drinks but with it being a midnight start most folk were probably already pissed. There were quite a few walk outs when I was there.

Walkouts are always a thing at Kunt gigs. I also take it the big man isn't even in it. I assume he's just the writer, maybe even the director.

Fuck off, that Adrian Gurvitz dirge is one of my all time most hated songs. Anyway, here's the Fringe ad for this, check the blurb from Stewart Lee.

Yeah sadly Kunt himself isn't on stage, but from the content you cam tell its all him.
Leith Green
First Week - Ed Gamble at George Sq - excellent as always, very slick, think hes sold out the whole run Simple Minds in Princes St, they were really good as always. Last week - Michael Spicer, he was also really good, esp if you like the Room Next Door stuff he does on Youtube Also caught John Robins last night - best so far, if you like his podcasts, this is even better. Supposed to be a work in progress, but he is just so polished it is still a very good show. Next week - Got Frankie Boyle, Jordan Gray and finally Baby Wants Candy - plus also might be seeing a street dance thing - not usually my kind of show, but my wife saw it already and apparently its was excellent....

John Robins was good although my wife, who is a GP, said if it was one of her patients she'd have been pretty worried about his mental health. Not sure how much of it was his act and how much was real! Saw a few shows while we were there - was worryingly close to the front for Catherine Bohart and Foil Arms and Hog but thankfully escaped unscathed. Also saw Flo and Joan, Nina Conti, the Delightful Sausage and Amy Gledhill.
