Really glad we saw that out. Had a horrible sinking feeling when Blues scored in the 78th minute that we were going to blow the lead and throw away points late on, like we did so many times last season. Hopefully this bodes well for game management and we can kick on from here!

Thoroughly deserved win. Across the team we looked relatively assured. Much like Queens Park fans said last season,  Quitongo has one trick which is to get into a footrace and use his pace.

Nolan and O'Riordan both looked relatively assured. There are a few players I've been critical of in the past who stepped up today.  Dick did well to get into a good attacking position for his goal. Stanton looked like he absolutely thrived playing in a far more attacking role too. He was absolutely everywhere today.

Morton came to frustrate and its incredible that they somehow got away with such ridiculous petulance and time wasting prior to us scoring. It'll work from time to time but by and large it just makes them look like an absolute rabble.

Hopefully today will stop some of the absurd hysterics from some folk online.

I've seen some cracking good Morton teams over the years and some rank bad ones, but I can't think I've ever seen a more detestable shower of b*****ds than they had on the park today.

Rovers far from great, but it would have been an utter travesty if it had ended up anything other than a home win today.

Buzzing to get that win.
2 really well work goals and a lovely finish from Connelly.

Bar Quitongo who id have in the Rovers team Morton are utterly woeful.

We’re no great shakes ourself but they’re utterly devoid of any quality.

Hopefully that gives the team a wee confidence boost they need.

Hamilton away is a good game to follow up with another win.

Best bit was when he outran himself minutes from time and the South stand rose to its feet, cheering as if we'd smashed in another.

He's a cheating, half a trick pony.

Murray has to Drill that winning mentality into the team now. Hard work still ahead of us. But that’s a nice win.

Much better second half overall. Gullan did well to find Connolly for the second goal and Connolly did well for the first, great header from Dick. What a difference it makes having someone look up and find a pass instead of an aimless ball across the middle. Stanton being the man to go forward and Easton dropping deeper worked well too, gave us some more drive.

Ross still slow though, ambles his way around and falls over under a strong breeze more often than not.

Loved the reaction of MacDonald running out to give Connell a bollocking for doing nothing on any clearance highlights just how much he wanted a win. Well done at the back too from the young guys, a few communication mishaps but cleared up well when asked to.

Ref was shocking, a total belter with a wee chip on his shoulder and no clue about the game. Most entertaining part was when Morton subbed on what looked like their team bus near the end. An absolute travesty that that manages to play football at that level. At least it gives punters hope that they might be able to as well.

After a dreadful first half we played  much better in the second half and deserved the win, but we NEVER make it easy for ourselves. Morton were just thuggish, indulged by a wildly inconsistent referee. How we ended up with the same number of bookings as those dirty b*****ds in yellow is a total mystery.

We are certainly a work in progress. Just like last season we need a forward who can score goals but we look a bit more disjointed this season. Hopefully we can play ourselves into form. We didn’t have much goal threat but we did make chances and thankfully our left back and midfielder scored.

Our forwards were again given garbage to work with more often then not. Every time Gullan came short for the ball it was horsed in behind and vice versa. He was again up against two massive centre halfs and had to fight for everything.

We do nothing to play to the strengths of our players at times, absolutely a work in progress.

Aye, that wasn't pretty, but in our form, it was never going to be.

At least in the second half we put a couple of decent moves together for the goals, so that's something to build on.

Still plenty of work to be done but Saturday night will feel better for the 3 points that's for sure.

Also would add that it was some contest between the ref,  Quitongo and the Morton no 7 to see who was the biggest prat on the pitch.
