Forfar Athletic vs Stranraer

Recommended Posts

Hopefully Thomson is back as we could do with an actual winger, Moore definitely doesn't suit playing wide and not sure what to make of Jack yet. Would be good to get Flanagan involved too.

We can't be worse than Saturday (surely?), despite all the flack he gets I thought Aitken did ok when he came on, albeit he should have scored at the end. Need to get Slater involved in the game and cut out the stupidity at the back

Positive start last week from Stranraer.
Would be happy enough with a draw tomorrow.
I’d like to see the same team start for this one.
A few experienced players missing from the starting team last week in, Gal, Robbo and Duffy. Not bad options to have on the bench though.
Not sure how long Gal is out for.

I have no idea what to expect from Forfar tomorrow. I suspect Matty will be back in the starting 11 along with Hanratty (or Flanagan if he is actually fit), but other than that it'll be the same uninspiring football and lack of attack that will dominate the Forfar ranks.

However, we might snatch a goal this time! Maybe a 1-1 draw, hope I'm wrong and we actually win by a margin of 2 or more.

Cautiously optimistic of taking something from this one but mindful of our terrible record away at Forfar. I didn't think there was much between the sides in the league cup, so hopefully with an actual real life striker playing up top and with 3pts already under our belts, we can give a better account of ourselves and come away with at least a point.

Ah yes, probably best Keatings misses this game as the inevitable booing could be very detrimental to his eardrums 😜

Seriously though, an eardrum problem sounds comical but it most likely will affect his balance and perception so best not to play.

With the above absentees Irvine will most likely start tomorrow like so:

Marc

Abed, Nditi, Munro, Brindley

Hanratty, Hutton, Slater, Jack

Matty, Stef

Can't think much to add to the previous post.  Not got a clue what to expect apart from us sitting back and hoping the ball bounces our way. Really hope I'm wrong (again).

C'mon the Loons

ie If anyone has ever had eardrum problems, they will know. It's fucking extremely sore think of tooth ache tenfold.

The team haven't really shown anything to get even mildly excited about so far. It would be nice if they all turned in a good performance today.

I can't get into it at all. Whyte, Thomson and Flanagan would hopefully make a difference, there's no need for the likes of Hutton to be playing.

Good call! That's a team choice that nearly made me smile. Mind you, I had just seen Brindley's hair style.

Now, that was much better. Looking like a team for the best part, good interlinking passes, and ... shots at goal. Slater, though 🥰. Hope Stef's injury not too serious - some shot just before he went off.

Is it obligatory to throw on as many subs as possible though?

That was like night & day compared to last week.

so many positive’s from today. Amazing what you can do when you actually play attacking direct football.
Thought everyone played well today, especially Slater, he’s a class above.
Moore had a poor first half couldn’t do anything right, but eventually grew into the game and finished strongly.
