19QOS19
Why did Montrose wear red? I was surprised by that too. I didn't even know that we had a red away kit... Indeed. For the first 20 seconds of the video I was wondering why I didn't recognise any of our players. Had totally forgot we had the light blue top and assumed we were in red.
Scorge
The red kit is the new 3rd choice. Guessing the QOS away kit wasn't different enough for the ref compared to the home top. I'd have preferred that as the away kit over the salmon-topped eyesore TBH.
broomiesniper
Red kit was initially a one off as there were delays in the awful pink number being produced. never realised it was being kept as a 3rd kit, not a huge fan of it either

Is that why at kick off we passed the ball straight to a player in red

The referee decided their home strip had too much light blue in it like Queens away kit. Queens don’t have their 3rd kit yet and Montrose haven’t received their 2nd so they had no choice but to use that one off red version.
A Username With Mo In It
Why would Queen's choose blue & light blue for both kits? Did they not realise that they may have to play another team in blue? Edited August 10, 2022 by A Username With Mo In It Typo

[emoji2957]Tbf it was the fans who chose the away kit as light blue. And in their (our) defence, it's sexy as f**k and was clearly the correct decision. If it clashes with any home tops the home side should understandably change to another kit.

Did they not realise that they may have to play another team in blue? Fans chose the 2nd kit in a vote but it's not remotely a clash with our home Royal Blue, it's far closer to clashing with white. Montrose should have been allowed to wear their home kit on Saturday. The white sleeves on it would be a far bigger issue than the blue. We'll have a 3rd kit but it's not here yet.
A Username With Mo In It
I agree that the light blue kit is really smart. Just thought there would have been an SPFL stipulation that teams should ensure that they dont clash with the home kits of other teams in the same league?
