We were sent tickets by Dundee FC for advance sale because we were told there was NO online purchase available for our supporters to purchase. We were also informed, a number of weeks ago, that there WAS going to be a pay at the gate option but that position subsequently changed this morning. Well, that's just nonsense because we've not had PATG for almost a decade.
JagsCG
2 hours ago, johnnydun said: Don't know why you are even moaning at us. To be fair, it's not Dundee fans fault (if that's who you mean by 'us') many fans have admitted themselves that the ticketing system is a shambles and the prices are of course the same for the home support. It's not difficult to understand why people have an issue with the club on this though. £24 is over the odds for a championship match anyway but no PATG and no online system for away fans is pretty poor stuff. There's a bigger picture of many ordinary fans being priced out of the game - but it would be ignorant to believe that position is exclusive to this fixture or to Dundee as a club.
johnnydun
Top tip for Jags fans wanting to attend this Saturday. The device some of you may use to read Pie & Bovril also doubles as a phone. Call the Thistle ticket office to get your tickets and if you do this up until some time on Wednesday, they can be posted out. You're welcome. -

So, in real terms charging £22 five years ago is more than charging £24 today. Once again, Dundee providing value for money.

We've not operated a cash turnstile for the home crowd as I say in about a decade to the point it's made the media quite a few times with nothing being done about it. Latest example of that was just last week: https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/3525109/dundee-fans-ticket-queues-forfar/ Edited July 25, 2022 by Ludo*1
Bigmouth Strikes Again
Should be a pay at the gate. IMO. I remember in the early seventies when I had to crawl under the turnstile. Happier times. Thank you.

Mediocre Pundit
Ignoring the amateur hour ticketing for a moment, I’m actually impressed at how bullish the Dundee fans are acting despite having just come off a season of being rag-dolled every week in the Premiership.

We have a real manager with a real idea of how to play football for a change, much the same as when McCall came and dug you lot out of the shite. 2. Our squad wasn't actually that bad last season, but the lack of any tactical mindset meant they were utilised horrendously. They've already dissected two league rivals without any major additions, which are coming. 3. Everyone else in the league are utter diddies.
Lord Rosebury
You’d think clubs would be making it easier for supporters to attend games. Not providing a hassle free cash or online option to buy tickets in 22 is very odd. Have Dundee given a reason?
